CRY for Matthew
The Charity’s Aims
The ‘CRY for Matthew’ fundraising appeal has been set up because currently in the UK over 12 young people a week die from undiagnosed heart defects and in 2012, Matthew Dewhirst became one of those statistics and a family friend to one of our Directors.
They are raising funds to screen young people in Cheshire and Shropshire for heart defects, especially those that are participating in competitive sport. #12aweek
All the money they raise goes to Cardiac Risk in the Young, a small national charity set up to support the screening programme and to also support families as well as undertake a programme of research throughout the UK.
